The Road to Machu Pichu - 5 day Inca Trail, 5 day travel time

The Inca Trail to Machu Pichu is a renowned and most desired expedition for many hikers. Our trip starts with an overnight flight from Nairobi to Amsterdam, before connecting the following day on to the 13 hour trans-Atlantic flight to Lima, Peru. It really is the land of far far away. We arrive in Lima in the evening of the second day, spend the night in a hotel in Lima and then fly the following day to Cuzco, the base of the Inca Trail. After two nights of acclimatizing in Cuzco, we then proceed by bus to Piscacucho or Kilometer 82, where we embark on the Inca Trail to Machu Pichu.
