The road to Kilimanjaro - 5 Day Marangu Route

Our trip to Kilimanjaro starts at 7am from Nairobi. We drive South down Mombasa road for two hours before branching out right at Emali towards Loitoktok. The mountain is visible on a clear day as you approach Loitoktok past the world renowned Amboseli National park, home to numerous herds of Elephant Jumbos. Past Loitoktok, we cross into Tanzania via the Tarakea border post. Please ensure that you have your passport, yellow fever certificate and applicable visa fees if required. Another two hours through the winding slopes of Kilimanjaro will get us to the Marangu gate in time for a hot lunch before we check into the Kilimanjaro National park to start our afternoon ascent.
