Located 1.5 hrs North West of Nairobi, the Elephants hill hike is the true test of preparedness for those who are close to a real mountain climb. Rising to over 13,000 ft, the hike takes you through the rain forest, the bamboo forest and culminates in the moorland. The hike takes anywhere between 7-9hrs and can be cold, wet and muddy, so appropriate dress and carrying enough water and food is highly recommended. Due to the risk of meeting wild animals and the poorly marked trails, it is recommended that one undertakes the hike with a professional guide and or rangers. While is hike is tough and tiring, it is also deeply enjoyable, naturally beautiful and deeply satisfying.

Price Guide: Locals Kes 3000/-, Foreigners USD 70/-
